We removed paint from a paint on a rental house and this worked great. Much easier then using any other paint scrapers. Glad I purchased two as the kids enjoyed helping. This thing is amazing. I heard about it while I was in the middle of a tiling project and wished I'd had one for removing trim, and didn't think any more about it. My brilliant, beautiful wife decided to grab one in case we decided to do another project in the future (which I now realize was code for "I have another project for us to do."). I'm so glad she did! This prybar is good for so many more things that it has any right to be. It's sharp enough to score the caulk on your trim to disconnect it from the wall; thin enough to slide right between the trim and the wall; and springy enough (it's made of springsteel) to give you a bit of a boost when you're prying something stubborn. We used it to remove all the trim, but then we used the sharp edge to scrape up the linoleum paper from the floor. Later in the project it was invaluable for chiseling up bits of thinset that we amateurs squeezed out between tiles above the grout lines. It even helped get the nails out of the trim before we put them back on. As a bonus, it's so small that it fits nicely in our tool "go bag" that we grab whenever we aren't sure what all we'll need for a job.My father in-law is one of those guys who has so many tools that he habitually "forgets" to take something home after coming over to help us work on something (it's how I've gotten half of my power tools). But I know for a fact that he doesn't have one of these, and I'm pretty sure he's getting one in his stocking this year.Buy this tool. You'll be surprised how many times you'll reach for it instead of something else! One of my favorite tools in my tool bag. Use it for removing baseboards without damaging drywall. Love how thin it is and sturdy. However, keep in mind this is not made for full on prying of heavy studs. Also, works great at a temporary shim. Sharp edge is great for scraping. Didnt .know find so many usesI've purchased over a dozen of these through the years, keeping them scattered in different toolboxes and of course losing a few along the way. This is the first time I've seen them listed as a tool for beehives, usually, they're pegged alongside crowbars at the big box retailers. The first one I bought was in 1992 when looking for something to pry off wall tile from a backsplash. Since then, I can't tell you how many times this tool has come into play. It's amazing how many times it'll hit me during a project to grab this thing...the list would go on and on! I have just about every hand and power tool under the sun but I'm fairly certain this single tool might be my favorite of them all. When looking for one on Amazon I came across this one and figured I've give it a shot. About the same price as sold in the big box stores however after receiving it I'd say the quality of steel may be higher grade than those. Time will tell but the initial uses of it have impressed me. I'll likely load up on a few more! Not what this tool is intended for but it works great as long as you are careful. It survived very well with light hammering on the 90 deg end, and light prying to remove trim I'm my home. Also prevented any damage to finished walls, and trim.GreatI bought this tool to redo the trim in our door frame but it’s been useful for so many things! Even removing the texture from our walls during our bathroom renovation. This little tool is not for beekeeping only. This is a must for Andy handyman to keep in his or her toolbox. We started remodeling a rental house and this was one of my go to tools. It came in so handy we seem to be fighting over it at times. I ordered another one just to have an extra on hand. Very handy tool never knew that I was missing such a good tool in my arsenal. The price is very reasonable I would recommend.Very well made tool, feels strong and sturdy. Im a joiner and bought this to use as a small pry bar when fixing skirting etc and works very wellBroke with in the first half hour of use. Don’t waste your moneyGood and easy to useWorks perfectly for use in our bee hive easy to remove framesAmazing tool for taking off skirting boards. Delighted with my purchase.
